first impression

Jum-riab- sua! (Hello!)

First full day of being here in Cambodia. Its hot, but not covered-in-sweat hot. Today we went to the grocery store, took a Khmer lesson to learn basic words and phrases, took tuktuks (little motorbike carts) down to the riverfront for dinner.  So much to take in. I am still processing layover time, foods, basic language and directions, cultural behaviors, our purpose here. And my first impression of Cambodia: so far so good! 🙂

The first photo is of our hotel, the view and our classroom. Oh and me.

Little, tiny, itsybitsy lizards are everywhere (Mom show Mikal and Tore), night life at the river front (top right), my yummy dinner, and my first tuktuk ride (bottom right)

nightlifeOff to more adventures today!
